{Creationz} Medical School Party

medical school party

This past weekend I got to put together this party for my cousin Christina who was recently accepted into medical school. {Yay Chrissy!!} Many thanks to my Aunt for asking for my help because I had sooooo much fun with this party!

Christina loves vintage things and so I knew immediately I wanted to go that route for her party. I put school and medical items together with a vintage feel and I think it was a hit!
If you missed her invite check it out here.
The picture above is of the sign in table. I used my book wreath mirror that you may remember from here and the guest book was a three-ring binder with a student attendance sheet I designed.

Next to the guest book I also had some printouts and goodies for the kids at the party.

For the centerpieces I used vintage books, mason jars with tongue depressors and cotton balls, and some vintage inspired flashcards I designed. I also included other jars with some gorgeous vintage labels from Cathe Holden and her blog Just Something I Made. {She is really inspiring and has tons of goodies on her blog so you really have to visit!}

Each place setting had a name plate, pencil, piece of chalk and a shiny red apple.
The favor/dessert table included cake pop "apples", sentence strips for the kids, mini composition books, and vintage candies. My Aunt also got a great cake that was brought out later. AND, I have to thank my husband for the gorgeous chalkboard he made!

Another BIG Congratulations to my cousin Christina! When I married her cousin she was in our wedding and played piano at the wedding also {yes she is super talented}. So I'm really happy I could return the favor and help with a special day that was all about her.

Christina, we can't wait to call you Dr.!!!!!!!

xoxo,
Monica

This is so creative! It would be a great theme for anyone involved in higher education or even someone entering teaching.
