{Tutorial} DIY Pillow Box

Hope you're having a great day today. I'm really excited to share this tutorial with you because it is VERY easy and very quick! Here we go...

You'll need a piece of paper (mine was about 5" x 5 1/2"...cut any size you'd like, just keep in mind you are going to overlap the ends a little to make a tube), some embellishments to decorate it (I used some die cuts I cut out with my Cricut Expression but you could easily cut a heart out yourself or buy some foam stickers, ribbons, etc.), double stick tape or glue, and dimensional dots (optional).

To get the corrugated look on my paper I just ran it through this Fiskars paper crimper. If you don't have one you could do it without the crimping also.

Put some double stick tape on one end and overlap to form a tube.

After you form your tube, push down gently on one end of your tube on the side that will be the back (the side with the seam).

You should have something like this.

Once you do the other side, it will look like this. Now do the same on the other end and you will have your pillow box.

I stuck this white paper on with double stick tape.

I used dimensional dots on the heart so it could stick out a little bit.

And that's it!
It's alot of pics but once you make one you'll see how fast it is. Fill them up with m&m's or kisses or anything you'd like. Another great idea would be to fill with packets of instant coffee or tea and stick in a pretty mug as a little gift. Hope you enjoyed the tutorial and I hope you try to make one! Here's another one that I made for some more ideas on how you can decorate them.
