{Creationz} Fun Spring Frame Wreath

diy spring frame door wreath

Hi everybody! I know my poor little blog has been neglected lately but today I have something to share with you. This wreath/frame/??? has been halfway done for quite some time and I just got to finish it today and thought I'd show you.

I love all the ways that you can use empty frames for collages on walls or photo props at a party or a frame wreath like I did. I wanted to make some type of springy, pretty, shabby chic type of wreath to hang on my door and thought it would be fun to try one out of an empty frame BUT I didn't have a frame. Soooooo I cut up a wrapping paper roll and made my own!!! I knew I wanted it covered in burlap so it really didn't matter what it looked like underneath! I cut the empty tube in 4 pieces and hot glued them together to form my frame and then wrapped it in burlap strips (hot gluing that every so often as well). I will be honest, it's not the sturdiest thing to work with but it was free so I made it work! To work with something more sturdy though, you could easily find an empty frame at a yard sale or thrift store or even buy a frame at the dollar store or
Wal-Mart and take the glass out.

I really love the way it turned out! It's not bright and there's no eggs for Easter but I think it's cute and will be great just for an everyday look. I think the bunting with all the different sized pearls is my favorite part.
Hope you guys enjoy it and thanks for taking a peek!

I love it! I've never seen a wreath made from a frame before... what a neat idea! All of the little details work so well together. The pearled bunting and layered flower are beautiful!
